Shirley J. Barnett, 85, of Steubenville passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Gables Care Center. She was born in Steubenville on June 28, 1930 a daughter of the late Arthur T. and Verna Dailey Kunkle, Sr. Shirley was a 1947 graduate of Steubenville High School and a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George R. Barnett; brother Arthur T. Kunkle, Jr.; sister Marilyn “Sue” Kunkle and an infant brother Karl Kunkle. Shirley is survived by her daughters Patricia S. Barnett of Steubenville and Lynn A. Connor of Parrish, FL; brother Raymond Kunkle of San Clemente, CA; grandchildren Matthew and Bethany Connor. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Monday from 1-3 and 5-7p.m. Friends may also call on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 10a.m. until time of services at 11a.m. at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Proya officiating. Burial at Center Chapel Cemetery.
