Obituary For Sherry L. Martin

Sherry L. Martin, 64 of Unionport, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Mercy Hospital. She was born March 19, 1955 in Steubenville, Ohio. She attended Unionport Christian Church and retired as a lab tech from Titanium Metals after 20 years of service. In her early years, Sherry was an active member of 4H and worked at Circle M Ranch (the family farm) training thoroughbred race horses. In later years, Sherry enjoyed dining with family and friends, sitting on the porch, sipping iced tea and playing “Words with Friends” on-line. Preceding Sherry in death was her father Patrick “Tex” Mynster.

Sherry is survived by her two children, Carley L. Martin of Amsterdam & Dane M. Martin of Unionport; mother Dixie (Don) Christy; sister Tawny Secula; stepmother Barb Mynster; aunt Shirley Mitchell; multiple nieces, nephews & cousins; her dog Dipsy and cat Bo.

Family and friends may call at Unionport Christian Church, 3488 County Road 39, on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jeremy Kuttler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Unionport Christian Church OR Carley or Dane Martin to help defray expenses.

    So very sorry for your loss. Such a young vibrant woman. Remember her as a teenager coming to Poole's Store when I worked there. Such a gift for training horses. Praying God's blessings on the family.

    Sherry touched many lives, hearts and souls. She was one of a kind. So many lives will never be the same without her. After 40 years of friendship I'm gonna miss you bunches Sherry. So very sad you are no longer here with us and yet so very happy you are in Paradise.

    So sorry for your loss. I worked with Sherry in the lab and we had a lot of laughs and fun times. We shared stories about our families and she was so proud of Dane and Carley and loved them so much. Rest In Peace Sherry. Will miss seeing you

    The first time I met Sherry and Dixie was at the laundromat and 42 years later, I'm missing her..Her bday is the same as my moms, I'll never forget it. Carley and Dane and Dixie and Shirley I'm so sorry and my Prayers are with you all. 🙏
