Shawn Overholt, 69, of Las Vegas, NV (formerly of Steubenville) died Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Villa Royale. He was born December 10, 1949 in Steubenville the son of the late James F. and Helen V. Pollock Overholt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Marsh Ann Nicosia Overholt, his high school sweet-heart and a sister Debi Cybulski. He was Catholic by faith and in his early years attended Kent State University. Shawn moved to Las Vegas in 1972 and worked at MGM and retired from Caesars Palace as a 21 Dealer. He loved his God, family and friends. He had a passion for sports, and followed the Pittsburgh Steelers, enjoyed oldies music and concerts in the park and often played in numerous pool tournaments. He lived life to the fullest and was friendly to all and called everyone by their first name. Left to cherish his memories is a daughter Danielle Overholt of Las Vegas, NV sister Cynthia “Cindi” Overholt Carter and a niece Ashley Carter both of Chandler, AZ. Family and friends will truly miss this loving and kind man who enriched all of their lives in so many ways. Per Shawn’s request, no visitation or services are planned. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
