Obituary For Sharon L. "Sheri" Daugherty

Sharon L. “Sheri” Daugherty, 63, of Wintersville passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Trinity West. She was born in Steubenville on February 19, 1955 the daughter of the late Daniel D. and Gladys E. DeWitt Daugherty. Sheri is survived by her longtime companion and life partner Pennie J. Brechbiel of Marysville, OH; several close friends and correct usage of the Oxford comma.Recieved M.A. in Counseling and B.A. in Sociology from Franciscan University of Steubenville after beginning undergraduate work at Wilmington College. She was the Director of Steubenville's Women's Shelter, social worker at Weirton Medical Center for many years, past decade has worked for several mental health providing agencies in the area. Friends will be received on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 1-3 and 5-7p.m. at Dunlope-Shorac Family Center, 200 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH (Across from the funeral Home.)

    Sheri was one of my closest friends in high school. We reconnected briefly a few years ago. I was shocked and saddened to read of her passing. My deepest sympathies.

    Sheri loved her three beautiful cats that she adopted from Hounds' Haven.  They will now go back to Hounds' Haven to live and receive loving care.  Sheri's wish was for any memorial contributions to go to Hounds' Haven, 22 Township Road 150, Dillonvale, Ohio  43917.  Thank you, on behalf of Butter, Nula and Jones!

    So sorry to hear of Sheri passing . She had a kind heart and cared for others . She was my therapist in the past . I will remember her always . RIP my friend

    I'm shocked and saddened to hear the news of Sheri's passing. I was blessed to have been able to work with her for a couple years. She was such a kind and caring person. She will be missed.
