Obituary For Sandra K. Moxley

Sandra K. “Sandy” Moxley, 74, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Valley Hospice. She was born on September 9, 1949 the daughter of the late Stanley & Betty Deist McGrew. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church; 1968 graduate of Steubenville High School and attended Steubenville Business College. After 23 years of service, Sandy retired from the former Steubenville K Mart and became a volunteer and member at PrimeTime Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing bingo. Sandy also enjoyed crocheting and quilting.

Sandy was Past Mother Advisor of Steubenville Assembly No. 212 Rainbow Girls, Past Worthy Matron and 50 Year member of Toronto Chapter No. 215 O.E.S., member of East Liverpool Assembly No. 71-Beauceant and Thea Court No. 5 in Columbus – Ladies Shrine.

Preceding Sandy in death were her daughter and son-in-law Marie & Gary Westfall.

Sandy is survived by her husband Ben Moxley and two granddaughters Maxine Helsel & Casey Helsel.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday 1-3 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Michael Heckathorne officiating.

Toronto No. 215 O.E.S. service 3 p.m. Sunday

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Rainbow Girls, % Masonic Temple, 227 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, OH 43952

Memorial luncheon following funeral services (approx. noon) Monday at Grace Lutheran Church.

    Though we miss and mourn you, we do find comfort in knowing that you are reunited in Heaven with your daughter. May you and your dearest Marie remain together laughing, embracing, and dancing in the sky. I was blessed to know you and will miss holding your hand. Love you always...til I see you again.

    Sandy will be missed by those who knew her as I did, through the Rainbow for Girls and Eastern Star work.Ben, my deepest sympathy during this difficult time. Sandy was a fighter and will now always be an angel to watch over you. Remember your fraternal family and lean on them. They will support you. God bless.

    Sandy will truly be missed. We have been friends since working together at Prime Time, we quilted together and went to Big Red football games. I will truly miss her friendship. Love to Ben and the family.
