Samuel H. Cox, Jr., 68, of Steubenville, Ohio died Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Trinity West. He was born June 9, 1946 a son of the late Samuel Henry Cox, Sr. and Flora Elizabeth Cox Beall. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from US Can. Preceding Sam in death was his brother-in-law William “Gus” Lamantia, Sr. Surviving are four daughters Tammy Haney of Steubenville, OH, Tina (Greg) Stasiowski of Wellsburg, WV, Tonya Sellers of Richmond, VA and Alicia Sellers of London, England; fiancée Barbara Meyers; three sisters Shirley Lamantia of Steubenville, OH, Dorothy “Dotty” Cox Jordan of Toronto, OH and Carol “Susie” (James A. ) Scott of Florida; seven grandchildren Ciarra Cox, Nikki Huntington, B.J. Pasco, Gregory & Maliya Gibson and Speed & Chayce Stasiowski; ten great grandchildren; two nieces; six nephews; ten great nieces and seven great nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Wednesday 5 – 8 p.m. where a service will be held Thursday 10 a.m. with Rev. Bryce J. Grieco officiating. Burial at New Alexandria Cemetery.
