Samuel D. Abdalla, 67, of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on August 7, 1938 a son of the late John and Josephine Hayek Abdalla. A graduate of the College of Steubenville, Sam was a humble, successful and self-made businessman having founded the Aquanaut Complex, Abdalla Enterprises, A&A Vending and Safety 4th Fireworks Co. which does business as PRISM Fireworks. His real estate holding company, Abdalla Enterprises, encompasses properties throughout the U.S. including the Yellow Creek Campsites. In addition to St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Richmond, Ohio, his lodge and club memberships include the Elks, Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Sam was preceded in death by an infant sister. Sam is survived by his wife Joyce A. Chuich Abdalla whom he married on October 1, 1966; two sons Samuel D. Abdalla II of Toronto, Ohio and Eric A. Abdalla of Bloomingdale; daughter Tara J. Abdalla of Stow, Ohio; two grandchildren Samuel D. Abdalla III and Taylor E. Abdalla; three brothers John M. (Rose) Abdalla and Fred J. Abdalla both of Stratton, Ohio and Edward A. Abdalla of Wellsville, Ohio and one sister Genevieve Abdalla of Stratton. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Thursday 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass noon Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church, 852 Main Street, Wintersville with Rev. Fr. Gary George, his cousin, celebrating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Steubenville. Vigil services 8:45 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505-5097.
