Obituary For Sam Lamantia

Samuel S. “Sam” Lamantia, 77, of Weirton, WV formerly of Bloomingdale, OH died Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Trinity West. He was born in Steubenville, OH on June 3, 1933 son of the late Samuel S. and Edith Beils Lamantia.  Sam was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, where he worked at the 45 Inch Mechanical.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Margaret Knight and Josephine Spears.  Sam is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Patricia A. Plantz Lamantia; daughters Linda Laine of Weirton, WV and April (Richard) Brazauskas of Cadiz, OH; sister Jean (Ed) Lulla of Steubenville, OH; grandchildren Matthew and Amanda Brazauskas and Ashley Laine; great granddaughter Makayla Brazauskas; several nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Sunday from 1-4p.m., where funeral services will be held on Monday, 10a.m. with Rev. Deborah Kellar officiating.  Burial at Bloomingdale Cemetery.
