Ruth J. Ford 84 of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday, December 31, 2004 at her residence. She was born in Steubenville on June 8, 1920 the daughter of the late Louis and Margaret Perry Scarpelli. Ruth was a retired office manager at Biggio Ford and was currently a bookkeeper at Creegan Company. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Preceding Ruth in death were her husband Maynard R. Ford and three brothers. Ruth was an avid supporter of the Jefferson County Animal Welfare League and volunteered many hours at the Jefferson County Dog Pound. Ruth is survived by her “adopted” family, The Creegan Family of Steubenville and two nieces Cassie Jewell and Shirley Taylor. There will be no visitation hours per Ruth’s request. Memorial mass 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2005 at St. Anthony Church with Revs. Timothy Shannon and Edmondo Stabene officiating.
