Ruth G. Critser, 84, of Steubenville, Ohio died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Weirton Medical Center. She was born September 21, 1923 in Cambridge, Ohio the daughter of the late Abraham “Abe” and Luella Floe Slazer Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband Foster Clyde Critser and three sisters. Ruth was a former member of Finley United Methodist Church and active with the United Presbyterian Church of Brilliant. She was a Girl Scout leader, a Sunday school teacher and a band mom. Surviving are her children Bernard (Nancy) Starr of Ravenna, OH, Kenneth (Audrey) Starr of New Kensington, PA, Keith (Marie) Starr of Lower Burrell, PA, Judith Elaine (Flavian) DeCollo of Loveland, CO, Donna Merryweather of Steubenville, OH, Kathryn Critser of Steubenville, OH, Janeth (Skip) West of Columbus, OH and Ronald Foster Critser of Show Low, AZ; ten brothers and sisters and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Greco officiating. Burial at New Alexandria Cemetery.
