Ruth E. Martin, 91, of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Saturday, December 24, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Bloomingdale, OH. She was born September 14, 1925 in Loudonville, OH a daughter of the late David E. and Rose Ellen Buzzard Shipp. Ruth was a member of FOP lodge #97 and Jefferson County Beekeepers Association. She was Lutheran by faith. Preceding Ruth in death were her husband Guy Welker Martin; son Thomas W. Martin; brother John Shipp and sister Mary Catherine “Annie” McClure. Surviving are her children Michael J. Martin of Bloomingdale, OH, Cynthia K. Hudok of Toronto, OH, Danny R. Martin of Bentonville, AR, Kim E. Martin of Wintersville, OH and Cheryl A. (Charles) Myers of Bloomingdale, OH; eight grandchildren Paul Laman, Richard Antill, Amy Fomenko, Andrew Kleiner, David Martin, Dane Martin, Carley Martin and Rebekah Martin; four great grandchildren Tiara Laman, Ryan Laman, Liam Miller and Willow Martin. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville. Burial at Unionport Cemetery.
