Ruth E. Brown, 77, of Steubenville, OH died Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Houston, TX. She was born on May 6, 1935 in Knoxville, TN. Ruth was a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church and was retired from Trinity East as a surgical nurse. Preceded in death by her mother Violet Gibbons Cooke; her husband George E. Brown and her son Mark E. Brown. She is survived by her daughter Kimberlee J. (Ramiro) Brown of Houston, TX; sisters Carole J. (Chuck) Montgomery of Wintersville, OH and Jackie (Don) Soderberg of Farmington, NM; sister-in-law Peg Brown of Adena, OH; brother-in-law Marvin Courtright of Wadsworth, OH and her beloved dog “Buddy”. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday from 4-8p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11am at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, 3419 State Route 213, Steubenville, OH. Burial to immediately follow services at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale, OH.
