Ruth Amidon Carneiro, 89, of Jupiter, Florida, formerly of Steubenville, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 14, 2012. Ruth was born in Steubenville on October 30, 1923. She attended Steubenville High School and went on to earn a nursing degree at Ohio Valley Hospital. She is predeceased by her parents, W. Ray and Lottie (Riley) Amidon, brother, Sigmond and her late husband of 48 years, Aniceto P. Carneiro, M.D. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey P. Carneiro (Cathy) of Jupiter, Florida, granddaughter Tracy Leggett (Mike) and her treasured great grandson, Michael Christopher. Ruth also leaves behind an extended family of loved ones. Ruth attended Christians Gathered unto The Name of the Lord Jesus Christ in Ohio and Florida. She was a member of The Mayflower Society and National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. A memorial service will held at the Union Cemetery Chapel on December 27, 2012 at 12:30 pm with Preacher William Snyder of Cuyahogoa Falls, Ohio officiating.
