Russell E. “ Whitey” Yost 86 of Brilliant, OH formerly of Wintersville died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at Trinity West. He was born in Moundsville, WV on February 25, 1919 son of the late Ernest and Rhoda Davis Yost. Russell was member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Follansbee VFW Post #3537, retired from National Steel Co. as a foreman and member of the 30 year club. He was veteran of the US Navy. Preceding Whitey in death are two sisters Veda Church and June Foster. Russell is survived by his wife Naomi Grace Thornton Wayt, son Russell (Ruth Ann) Yost of Wellsburg, two daughters Charlotte (Jim) Deuley of Follansbee and Pamela (Greg) Kaczmarek of Lake Tahoe, CA, stepchildren Chris (Joyce) Wayt of Dayton, NV , Thomas (Connie) Wayt of Mingo Jct. Cheryl (Brent) Johnson of Billings, MT, Cyndy (Doug) Siemon of Summerland Key, FL, sister Dorothy Lester of Eldersville, PA, 6 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm where services will be held at 10 am Friday with Pastor Edward Brutto Officiating.
