Mary: Sorry to hear about Russ. I did not find out until this AM. I would have likes to come down to the funeral as I I have not see your children since Aunt Kathrine Hathaway funeral. With the passing of Russ I guess the Hathaway name is comming to an end. Just like our Giffin name. Russ was my only first counin and I have many fond memories of time I spent with him. Sempi Fi to a fellow Marine. God Bless you, all of your children and now grandchildren. Bob And Diana giffin

Dear Mary, Frank, Lynn and family: We are so very sorry about the passing of Russ. We have been blessed to have been friends of your family for many years and he was just a great guy. Russ always had a smile and a kind word when he saw us. More important, he was always available to help if there was a problem which he did on more than one occasion. He just did it in his own quiet way.He was very proud of his family and liked to talk about all of you. Our prayers are with Russ and all of you. If we can be of any help during your time of need, we are here for you. The Hannen family., .

Mary, Hope, Kaye, and family... I was surprised and saddened to hear of Russ's passing. I know he will be missed greatly by all of you! It's so hard to let go but knowing he's with God and suffers no more brings such consolation. I wish i were able to pay my respects in person but wont't be back in Steubenville for another week. I pray that God gives you His comfort and strength during this difficult time...

Although, I didn't see My Uncle Russ, often, when I did he had a Kind and Warm Presence About Him... He Never Really gave an Ear to Ear Smile, But a Soft One...True and Sincere... At Least we know that in Our Loss, We have Gained Another Guardian Angel Watching Over All Of Us.... Thoughts and Prayers for All of The Family.......

It goes without saying there have been few finer men than Russ. I had the privilege of having this man as my uncle. Words can not describe the vivid, wonderful memories he created for me. Both he and his loving wife Mary were incredibly lucky to have each other for over 58 years. I hope everyone Russ touched celebrates the good he brought to all as the sum of his love is truly immeasurable . I am proud to have known him. A special man.

My Uncle Russ has always been my role model for how to be a 'dad'. My children would tell you that I learned from a master. My heart goes out to my Aunt Mary, my cousins and their families. God richly blessed you with this man.
