Ruby M. “Adrian” Smith, 74, of Steubenville passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Trinity West.  She was born in Houston, TX on January 7, 1935 the daughter of the late John R. and Laura B. Cravy Smith.  Adrian was Lutheran by faith and retired from the Oakland California Police Department, where she worked in the payroll department.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Paula.  Adrian is survived by her friend Bonita M. Schaffner of Steubenville, OH.  A memorial service will be held at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 11a.m. with Sister Wilma Kramer officiating.
