Rose DiStefano, 99, of Steubenville, Ohio died Monday, January 28, 2013. She was born in Follansbee, WV on November 13, 1913 a daughter of the late Frank & Antoinette DeStefano Dalesio. She was a member of the former Holy Rosary Catholic Church (Triumph of the Cross) and was a faithful volunteer and instrumental in beginning and maintaining the Wednesday & Saturday Bingo nights. Because of her love for making friends and her love for children as a whole, especially her grandchildren, Rose assisted the Holy Rosary Booster Club by working Sunday & Monday Bingo at Holy Family Church. Preceding Rose in death were her husband Victor A. DiStefano, Sr. on March 10, 2000; sisters Anna Giannini, Mary Barrett, Sylvia DeMark, Lena Ranallo, Dora Dalesio & Kathleen Shekas; and three brothers Adam, Bill & Dominick Dalesio.Rose is survived by her children Carole (Tom) Feeney, Victor A. DiStefano, Jr., and Philip (Yvonne) DiStefano; sister Sue Mayhew; brother-in-law Nick DiStefano; nine grandchildren Kris (Jack) Mullaney, David (Melanie) Feeney, Kevin (Jennifer) Feeney, Amy (Jeff) Brown, Gia (Geoff) Tucker, Marissa (Bob) Gump, Jennifer & Nicole DiStefano and Sara DiStefano; and eleven great grandchildren Brian & Rachael Mullaney, Andrew & Matthew Feeney, Megan Feeney, Nick & Adrienne Brown, Guiliana & Graceyn Tucker and Ben & Brandon Gump.Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Funeral liturgy with mass at Noon at Holy Rosary Church with Rev.
