Joanne, I realize there's nothing I can really say now except I'm so sorry. If heres ever anything that I personally can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask. It would be my privilege to serve you in any way I can. Ron was a gentleman in every sense of the word. I am only glad that you got to have him for the short time that you did and that you let us share him too.

JoAnn and the Truini family: My thoughts are with you in this difficult time. When I spoke with Ron a few weeks ago, he told me he was headed to Ohio. Little did I know... Ron was such a pleasure to work with, especially in the years we spent in the office together. His dedication and willingness to go "way" beyond the call of duty in order to find the answers we were looking for in organizing the unorganized, will go down in history as great storytelling! I will share them with you in an email, as I am certain they all aren't fit for print here! They all showed how much he cared about the future of our trade. We enjoyed many glasses of wine together, as we became close friends. I learned much of your love for each other, when I attended your wedding. I hope to see all of you again. Dave

Our condolences to the family. Ron was always great to work with and his humor touched everyone. He stayed at our house once, not wanting to inconvenience anyone, and he slept outside on our hammock. He did come in later when the bugs got bad. He was a good ironworker and a good person. He will be truly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. The O'Learys

My deepest condolences to the family and friends who are feeling the sadness I feel now. Joanne, I wish you well, and appreciate your hospitality when we visited in November, glad I made it then. I started to get to know Ron when he came to work one day in January at thirty below zero. His quick wit, love of the laugh, and good strong work ethics made even those extreme conditions enjoyable. Later, when I went to work in the office, he was the Organizer. Working together there, I realized that Ron was a lot more than I had credited to him. He was a quality man, with abilities only he could own. He moved on to rejoin Joanne in Florida, I only wish I would have known him a little better.

My deepest condolences to Joanne and family. Ron was a very good friend and a great partner to work with. We had some great and not so great times working together in Alaska but always had a laugh about both. I was able to enjoy Ron and Joannes hospitality in North Carolina and this December in Florida. I going to to miss you Ronnie.

Ron was not only a true friend but he was a riot to work with. His sense of humor was beyond that of your normal person as was his intelligence. I now have his job as the organizer for Ironworkers Local 751 and it is my goal every day to do as good as a job as Ron did at it. Ron, you will always be a true friend and brother. While you are getting your bearings there in heaven take a few minutes to look around before you start handing out authorization cards for union representation would you? Rest in peace, I hope to see you again someday.
