Obituary For Ronald R. Bell

After a courageous battle Ronald R. “Ronnie” Bell 68 of Steubenville, OH passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Sunday, February 1, 2004. He was born in Steubenville on April 26, 1935 a son of the late Joseph and Hannah Myers Bell, Sr. He was a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville, Weirton Steel 25 Year Club and Mingo Sportsman’s Club. Ronnie was retired from Weirton Steel, where he was a general construction foreman, and he was a veteran of the US Army. His family rejoicing for him to join them in Heaven in addition to his parents include 2 brothers Joseph A. Bell, Jr. and James Bell, infant sister Harriet Bell, his grandsons Angelo, Ashton and Caleb Talbott are joyfully welcoming their beloved Pap into their midst. He was a sentimental, special man to his family and will be forever missed by his wife, Violet Bly Bell, his two daughters Cheri (Gregory) O’Brien and Connie (Larry) Talbott, both of Steubenville, sister Doma Braley of Liberty Center, OH, several nieces and nephews. Pap will be deeply missed by his dearly loved grandchildren, Lucas, Kayla and Morgan O’Brien. His friends and family will keep his spirit eternally alive with cherished memories. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Tuesday from 7-9p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Friends may also call from 10:30a.m. until time of service at 11:00a.m. on Thursday at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville with Rev. Jeff Proya officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville. Ohio Valley Veterans will conduct services at cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
