Ronald Lee Dobbins, 73, of Irondale, Ohio died Friday, August 20, 2010 at Valley Hospice North. He was born in Little Otter, West Virginia on April 20, 1937 the son of the late Claude and Grace Ross Dobbins. Protestant by faith, Ronald retired from Titanium Metals as an electrician. He enjoyed country music, playing his guitar and sang with the clubs of “Appalachian Folk Music” and “Country Friends”; enjoyed motorcycling and piloting his private plane; and most of all cherished his family and “Buddy” his dog and faithful companion.Survived by his wife Judy Burriss Dobbins at home; children Robin (William) Gubanich, Donna Dobbins (companion James Nightingale), Lynnette (Ernest) Sickles, Mark A. (Monica) Burriss and Rex A. (Rainy) Burriss; Grandchildren Alex Gubanich, James and Abby Nightingale, Laurie Sickles, Tyler, Aleshia and Gabrielle Burriss and Jenny Apache; and “Buddy” his dog.Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday from 4 - 7 p.m., and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Minister Tom Adkins officiating.
