To the family of Ron Vandeborne I want to send love and prayers to his family. I have known Ron and Brenda for many years and been lucky enough to call them friends. Ron was a true gentleman from the first time I met him in 1963. He was soft spoken but a real man in the truest terms. I pray that God will bless his family and give them the strength of the Holy Spirit to continue to stay well and happy as Ron would have wanted. 🙏🏼 sincerely, Gary Helt and family

Mr. Vandeborne was my fifth grade teacher. He was one of the best. Some teachers are there for a paycheck, some make and impact. Mr. Vandeborne was always impactful. As the years rolled on I would see him from time to time and he always remembered me, knew what I was doing and took the time to talk to me. The last time was just this past Memorial Day in Bloomingdale. He was a great man and will be sorely missed. Shawn Hervey

For sixty years, we were blessed with the friendship of Ron—a man whose kindness, loyalty, and steady presence became part of the rhythm of our lives. He didn't need to announce his goodness; he lived it quietly, consistently, and with a generous heart. Through every season, Ron was there with a listening ear, a thoughtful word, or a strength that made the world feel a little easier to face. Our friendship grew through decades of shared stories, laughter, and the kind of trust that only time can build. We will miss Ron deeply—his wisdom, his humor, and the comfort of knowing he was always just a call away. But we carry him with us in every memory, every lesson, and every moment we shared. Sixty years of friendship with Ron is a gift we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Love to Brenda and family Dave & Carolyn

I always enjoyed my talks about education with Ron. He was always so intrigued about the whole "online teaching thing" and how I did it being a 1st grade teacher. Whenever I talked with him, I always knew that he was truly listening and cared about what I had to say. ~Sending my love and condolences to all of the Vandeborne family. Sincerely, Amanda Ovelgonne (Nancy Whaley's (nee Frey) daughter

What a champion a person with love for Brenda, family, church, and community. He provided the service for my wife Martha when she passed and since he knew her from childhood he handled it with grace and made a difficult time a little easier with stories of times we had in grade and high school...we can all hope we had more Ron Vandeborne's in the world. Till we meet again I truly love knowing you from Weems to Smithfield to the beyond ...Peace

Ron was such a wonderful person and always willing to give of himself. I remember about 17 months ago when I called him and asked him if he would be willing to perform the eulogy at my mom's services and without hesitation, he did. I will never forget the message he delivered that day in honor of my mom You will be missed Our prayers are with your family.
