I was a 19 year old kid when I began my career at the Sheriff's Office. Chief Turner took me under his wing and looked out for me and for the next 19 years He and Doreen treated me like one of their own Son's. I appreciate everything you did for me Chief. You and Doreen have always been Family to me and I Love You Both!!! Rest in Peace and know that you had a positive influence on many Lives, including mine. Joe lamantia Sergeant, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office

Ron was instrumental in launching what turned out to be my career in public service. He led by example preferring to avoid the spotlight. My good fortune was to have crossed paths with him in the 1970s. I join his family and friends in mourning the loss of this outstanding human being. May he rest in peace, and may all be granted the wisdom and strength to celebrate his life.

WHERE DO I START? CHIEF, YOU HAVE BEEN THERE FOR MY FAMILY AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. YOU WERE A BROTHER TO MY DAD, JIMMY, AND PICKED HIM UP WHEN HE NEEDED IT, YOU WERE A FRIEND TO MY MOTHER, BETTY, AND YOU WERE A FATHER FIGURE TO MYSELF, JIMMY, JOYCE, AND MY BELOVED BABY BROTHER, JOHN. YOU WERE ALWAYS THERE FOR EVERYONE OF US NO MATTER IF WAS TO JOIN IN OUR JOY OR SADNESS. YOU THOUGHT NOTHING OF SNATCHING MYSELF OR ONE MY SIBLINGS UP IF WE WERE MESSING UP. YOU, DOREEN, AND YOUR FAMILY WERE OUR FAMILY. HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU CATCH ME SOMEWHERE I WASN'T SUPPOSE TO BE WHEN YOU WERE THE CROSS CREEK TOWNSHIP CHIEF OF POLICE? YOU COULD OF CARED LESS WHO I WAS WITH OR WHO WAS THERE WITNESSING THE A** CHEWING AND SENDING MY BUTT HOME. I ALWAYS WAITED FOR THE RATH OF MY DAD, BUT, YOU NEVER TOLD. YOU JUST HANDLED IT YOURSELF...AND BY GOD, WHEN I SAW YOU COMING I KNEW YOU WAS NOT GOING TO PLAY. SOMETIMES I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF IF MY DAD CAUGHT ME INSTEAD OF YOU...LOL CHIEF, I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT WE ALL BECAME A BETTER PERSON BECAUSE OF YOU. YOU ALWAYS EMBRACED MY BROTHER, JOHN, NO MATTER WHAT TROUBLE HE GOT HIMSELF INTO. YOU TRIED AND TRIED AND TRIED TO REACH OUT TO HIM AND HELP GUIDE HIM THROUGH HIS MISERY. YOU WOULD JERK HIM UP AND WRAP YOUR ARMS AROUND HIM AT THE SAME TIME AND TRIED TO HELP HIM BECOME A STRONGER PERSON. FOR SEVEN YEARS YOU HAD HIM ON THE RIGHT TRACK, BUT, IN THE END, WE ALL LOST HIM BECAUSE HE LOST HIS SOUL. CHIEF, I LOVE YOU AND WILL NEVER FORGET YOU. YOU MADE ME A STRONG PERSON, AND I THANK YOU. I THANK YOU FROM MY ENTIRE FAMILY FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE. I WILL MISS YOUR BARK...LOL, I WILL MISS YOUR LAUGHTER, I WILL MISS YOUR STORIES OF ALL YOUR FAMILY TRIPS, AND I WILL MISS YOUR GUIDANCE. ONE LAST THING, THANK YOU FOR PUTTING A NEW FLAG ON MY DAD'S GRAVE EVERY MONTH WHETHER IT NEEDED ONE OR NOT, AND YOU BETTER BELIEVE I WILL RETURN THE GESTURE BY SHINING Y

Ronny & Mark and the entire Turner family, I'm saddened to her of Chief Turner's passing. He was such an influence on so many of us. He'll be missed by many who have such fond memories of him. He was so good at giving "the look" that could scare the poop out of you even though you knew you did nothing wrong. And just as quick with a smile and a pleasant greeting or joke. God Bless you all during this time of deep sorrow and grief. With love, Cass
