Obituary For Ronald G. Delatore

Ronald G. Delatore, age 75, passed away in his home of natural causes on May 12, 2016, in Wintersville, Ohio. He was born on April 19, 1941 in Steubenville a son of the late George Delatore and Elizabeth (Hudock) Delatore.

Ron is survived by his two sons, Ron (Melissa) Delatore, of Wintersville, and Mark G. (Joy) Delatore of Steubenville; his brother Richard (LaDonna) Delatore of Steubenville; three grandchildren, Alyssa Delatore (fiancée Josh Waugh), Devin Delatore and Cara Delatore, all of Steubenville; and one great-grandson, Frank Waugh. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley M. (Arnett) Delatore.

Ron attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1959. He served in the National Guard from 1962 to 1972 and worked in the Chemical Lab at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation for 34 years before retiring in 1998.

Ron was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Wintersville and a past long-time member of the Mingo Sportsman Club.

Friends may call at the Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Sunday from 4 – 7 p.m., where funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

    So very sorry. Please accept my deepest condolence. Ron, Rich, and Joe and family lived across the street when I lived in the Alba Court Appartments on 3rd street. I cannot remember exactly the years however I was a freshman when Rich was a senior. May he Rest in peace.Sincerely, Steve Denty
