Ronald D. Smith, Sr., 49, of Steubenville, Ohio died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Trinity West ER.  He was born in Steubenville, OH on July 7, 1959.  He was a social member of VFW Post #80, Steubenville.  Preceding Ron in death was his father Floyd Dexter Smith and two sisters Rose D’Andrea and Ruth Knight.  Surviving are his children Ronald D. Smith, Jr. of Follansbee, WV and Eric and Heather Smith both of Steubenville, OH; mother Ethel Jean Bell Smith of Steubenville, OH; two sisters Patricia (Donald) Fankhauser and Linda (Howard) Barker both of Steubenville, OH; brother Dean Smith of Saudi Arabia and one grandson.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at noon with Rev. Roy Henry officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may directed to the family.
