Obituary For Ronald A. Moody

Ronald A. Moody, 71 of Mingo Junction, Ohio, Died Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Trinity West. He was born December 23, 1938 in Mingo Jct., OH a son of the late James and Martha M. Hoff  Moody.  Ronald was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and American Electric Power Retiree’s club.  Ron had a 41 Year career with AEP which began in 1957 at the Tidd Plant.  He worked his way through the ranks and retired from the Cardinal Plant in 1999 as Production Services Superintendent. Ron was a very talented craftsman whose creativity is evident in every aspect of his life.  Preceding Ronald in death was his sister Lois Hughes.   Surviving are his wife Eileen Hagerty Moody; children Denise (Rocky) Augustine of Steubenville, OH, Ronald J. (Sharon) Moody of Katy, TX and Rhonda (Patrick) Hamrock of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren Alaina and Anthony Augustine, Katherine, Margaret, Anna and Sophie Hamrock; brother James (Eleanor) Moody of Crosslanes, WV and sister Shirley Littlecott of Circleville, OH. along with several nieces and nephews  Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Road, Mingo Junction Sunday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. and Monday at St. Agnes Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral liturgy with mass at 10 a.m. with Fr. James Dunfee as celebrant.  Burial at Mt. Calvary.  Memorial donations may be directed to Catholic Central High School.

    So sorry. Ronnie was a big part of childhood. We were neighbors and he and my brother Eugene were best friends. I'm sorry I'll be away this weekend and wont be back in time. God Bless

    Aunt Eileen, Denise, Ron, and Rhonda, I am so sorry for your loss. There are never enough words that can be said to explain what all of you are feeling. I can only say I know the pain I felt when my father passed away and the sadness I still have today. I know what all of you are feeling now. Uncle Ron was a great man. I wish I had the opportunity to be there. Know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

    To the Ron Moody Family, Eileen, we want to express our deepest and heartfelt sympathy on the death of your dear love one. We will never will forget all the goodtimes we had on the Cardinal Plant trips we had together. Ron is now in the arms of the loving father above, remember he is always looking down on you and your family. He loved his family and friends.     Dearest Eileen, My heart was heavy as a shockingly read the obituary for your husband. Joe and I got our start in married life when you found us the house on Commercial Avenue. I enjoyed working with you at the Sammis plant. I have considered you a friend all these years later. My condolances to you and your children. May God Bless you and give you strength.

    Aunt Eileen and family, Its a sad day here. I cryed hard when I seen his picture. He looks just the way I remember him always smiling. I loved him very much and he will be sadly missed. He made an awesome uncle. I wished that I could have seen him with his grandchildren. My thoughts are with you all.

    Aunt Eileen, Denise, Ronnie and Rhonda: I am so sorry that your Florida family cannot be with you to celebrate what a wonderful man Ron was. Please know we are all sad for your loss, as even though we are here, it is our loss as well. There was never a time when his eyes didn't sparkle. He was happiest surrounded by family. I have some of the fondest memories of my childhood with your family. I carry them with me always! I will never forget his kind heart, his laugh and how much he loved all of you.
