Obituary For Roberta L. Clemens

Roberta Ferguson Staats Clemens, 77, of Steubenville, OH, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Trinity West. She was born in Steubenville, OH, on June 16, 1935, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Edna H. Workman Ferguson. Roberta was a 1953 graduate of Steubenville High School. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Charles) Hunt of Steubenville; sons, George (Mable) Staats Jr. of Colliers, WV, and Michael Staats of Wellsburg, WV; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly MClaves), 611 N. 4th St., Steubenville, on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Fred Compston officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

My sincerest condolences to you upon the loss of your mother, who also was my former step mother-in-law. This was the first year in almost twenty years that I didn't receive a Christmas card from Roberta- she was always the first. I didn't know she had moved back home. I have many fond memories-some of which involve cockatiels! I'm sure that you all have many wonderful memories, and I know God will hold you near during this difficult time.
