Bob, I believe I only met you once and for a few moments. Always heard good things about you. I know you fought health issues and I am glad that you no longer are in pain. I imagine you are having a good ol' time jogging on streets of gold. I knew your wife Carol and enjoyed spending the girl's retreat with her! Know your dear son Bobby and his wife Wendy. I hope you all will excuse the next part being to your family member I knew best. And Bob, look up my Dad and say, Hey! Y'all all enjoy heaven for now, but look for us to get there. We'll be coming along when our work here is done."Bob-Robert" So sorry to hear you lost your Dad. Life just hasn't been the same since mine passed away, so I have a clue as to how you feel. Something I guess Wendy has known for a lot longer. I wish i could say things will be back to normal in a few days or weeks, but really, it changed forever. At least he's no longer in pain, it's just those who loved him and are left behind from his passing. You and your family, friends, church members, his neighbors even--all will notice varying degrees of loss. You being the oldest, you're the head of the family now. When the family gathers again, it will feel odd as you march along with life, your dad not being there. You, Wendy, and Carol, and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Allow yourselves to grieve how you feel at each moment, whether is it being sad, crying, laughing, telling old stories and during the times you can't bear to mention his name because the pain seems to great to bear... Please know you do have friends and loved ones who know and care. You have our love, support, prayers, even dinner--just give us a shout. We'll be there. At least--we'll sure try, Lord willing.Praise to our heavenly Father--HE is always there 24/7. With Him, you don't even have to say a word, He can read both your mind and breaking heart. Wrap yourself up in His love. Reading the book of Psalms is always comforting, too. when you don't know what

Thank you so much for your words, prayers and kindness. It is knowing we have friends we can count on when times are rough or difficult that keeps us going forward.
