Robert R. “Bob” Phillips, 79, of Wintersville, Ohio died Thursday, April 27, 2006 in the ER at Harrison Community Hospital. He was born May 11, 1926 in Amsterdam, OH a son of the late George and Elizabeth Woodcock Phillips. Bob was retired from the former Federal Paperboard Co., Toronto Paperboard Co., and most recently as a deliveryman for Borden Office Equipment Co. He held membership at Mingo Sportsmans and Sherwood Archery Clubs and served in the Army during WWII. Preceding Bob in death was his brother Samuel Phillips. Surviving are his wife Frances Dranikoski Phillips whom he married July 6, 1946; daughter Sandra (Ronald) Kovach of Wintersville; grandson Ronald Joseph Kovach of Pittsburgh; three brothers Ronald (Carol) Phillips of Canton, George (Frances) Phillips of Richmond and Charles (Martha) Phillips of Peru, IN. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial at Fort Steuben.
