Robert Lee Dillon 72, formerly of Wintersville, Ohio died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at his home in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born February 28, 1931 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Everett and Ruth Busler Dillon. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict; was an active member of St. Paul U.M. Church and retired after thirty years of service as a superintendent with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by three brothers William, Clifford and Arthur Dillon and one sister Wilma Trampus Bob is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Shirley Forester Dillon; his children, David (Debra) Dillon of Searcy, Janet (Paul) Liggett of Wintersville, Shari Fitzpatrick of Searcy and Todd (Valarie) Dillon of Searcy; nine grandchildren Nicole Fitzgerald, Robert Liggett, Bryan Liggett, Sean Liggett, Kellen Fitzpatrick, Alainna Fitzpatrick, Hailey Fitzpatrick, Alexa Dillon and Garet Dillon; two great grandchildren Samuel Fitzgerald and Breanna Fitzgerald; one brother Everett (Thelma) Dillon of Wintersville and one sister Virginia Lasure of Toronto, Ohio. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul U.M. Church, 2509 West Beebe/Capps Expressway, Searcy Arkansas 72143 -or- American Cancer Society. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct services at the cemetery.
