Robert L. Eiler, 72, of Wintersville, Ohio died Monday, November 14, 2005 at Trinity West. He was born in Dover, Ohio on February 8, 1933 the son of the late Arthur A. and Pauline Schrock Eiler. He was a retired patrolman for the Village of Wintersville and also had served as a constable for Cross Creek Township and deputy for the Jefferson County Sheriff. Bob held membership in F.O.P. Lodge 97; American Legion Post 557; Smithfield Masonic Lodge 182 F&AM; Scottish Rite; and Jefferson County Sportmans. Bob served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was an avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist. Preceding Bob in death were his wife JoAnn Tressler Eiler; one grandson; one stepsister; and one stepdaughter Debra Cunningham. Bob is survived by his wife Shirley A. Menzel Eiler, whom he married on September 1, 2005; two sons Randy L. (Carol) Eiler of New Philadelphia, Ohio and Edward (Jeanette) Eiler of St. Petersburg, FL; half-daughters Patti Kaili, Pamela Goya and Roberta Tanian; adopted daughter Amber Eiler; four stepchildren Billi Jo Crowley, Kristi (Stan) Wasilewski, John D. Leas, Jr. and Shawn Leas; several grand and great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Clint Quillen officiating.
