Obituary For Robert I. Wilson

Robert I. Wilson, 82, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Saturday December 21, 2024, at Trinity West Medical Center. Robert was born on August 26, 1942, in Lynchburg, VA, a son of the late James & Louise Wilson. Robert graduated from Bethany College in 1964 where he met his future wife, Sharon Wilson. Robert & Sharon were married in November of 1964. He went on to work in the Steel industry until his retirement. Robert was a member of Labelle View Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon, Secretary of the Church Board and Bible School teacher. He was an Avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan especially in the Forbes Field era.

Robert is survived by his wife Sharon; two children Mark David (Paulene) Wilson & Robin Elaine Longenecker; sister Brenda Chisholm and five grandchildren Hayley, Luke, Wilson, Mara & Reed. He was preceded in death by his in-laws Ralph & Genie Wilson.

Friends may call at Labelle View Church of Christ, 301 Ohio Street, Steubenville, Ohio 43952 on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. with Pastor George Irvin officiating.
