Years ago, students were seated alphabetically most of the time. It was my good fortune for many years to be near Riney as we had fun learning. That friendship was special! What a loss for all of us! My heartfelt condolences to his family and other friends. I now live in LA, but that doesn't mean my heart still isn't with my Steubenville extended family!

Riney was the best brother in law one could ask for..even as an EX! We laughed, we cried, we hugged we sang, we listened to albums, we did a lot of crazy things, but most of all were great friends. Our friendship continued through the years and so glad I stayed in touch. Riney had a contagious laugh and big smile and would help me out if I had a problem. IYou will always be miss by me. Let's do a shot of Tequila and drink a Bud Light when we met again!! Until then my friend...Until then!

I am sad beyond words. Robert (Riney) was the big brother I never had. Over the 40 years I've known him, we were involved in so many adventures, capers and enough mischief that it would fill a ten-volume set if it were written down somewhere...Robert certainly cut a path through life that touched a lot of people, and I don't remember anyone who didn't like him. He was my best friend in the world for a long long time and I'm going to miss him.Michael Wehr...(from the song)..."he wants to dream like a young man, with the wisdom of an old man. He wants his home and security, he wants to live like a sailor at sea.....""He's your oldest and your best friend, if you need him, he'll be there again. He's always willing to be second-best, a perfect lodger, a perfect guest...."Rest in peace brother.
