Robert G. Hutter, 88, of Steubenville, Ohio died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Trinity West. He was born September 13, 1917 in Martins Ferry, Ohio son of the late Michael and Susanna Hutter. Bob was a member of Grace Lutheran Church; American Legion Argonne Post 33 and Steubenville Elks Lodge 231. He was the retired owner of Hutter Meat Market, formerly located in Steubenville, and retired business manager for Steubenville City Schools. Bob served on a US Navy PT Boat during WWII. Preceding him in death were his wife Susanne Lander Hutter in 1981; two sisters Mary Kramer and Kate Kramer; and two brothers John and Michael Hutter. Bob is survived by two sons Alan Hutter of Obetz, Ohio and David (Lynn) Hutter of Shaker Heights, Ohio; two grandchildren Christopher (Mary) Hutter and Kim (David) Hutter-DeMarco; five great grandchildren Michael, Timothy, Molly, Mya and Emi; best friend and companion Helen A. Jackson of Steubenville; sister Margaret Henning of Farrell, PA; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bethel Bateson officiating.
