Robert E. “Bob” Davitt, Sr. of Dublin, OH formerly of Wintersville, OH passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH. He was born in Steubenville, OH on April 12, 1934 the son of the late William R. and Marguerite Griffin Davitt. Bob was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bob is survived by his wife Barbara Gallon Davitt; sons Robert E. (Debra) Davitt, Jr. of Northfield Center, OH and Ronald (Tiffany) Davitt of London, OH; daughter Barbara (Todd) Anderson of Upper Arlington, OH; grandchildren Michael Volio, Larkin Anderson, Max, Ryan, Olivia, Ethan, Owen, Wyatt and Bethany Davitt. Friends are invited to funeral liturgy with Mass on Saturday, January 18, 2020, 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church
(Everyone please meet at church) with Fr. Michael Gossett as celebrant. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
