Robert C. “Bob” Kirkpatrick , 60, of Bloomingdale, Ohio died Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at his residence. He was born January 13, 1947 in Steubenville, OH. Bob was a 1965 graduate of Catholic Central High School, a sergeant in the US Air Force and worked for Mittal Steel. He was catholic by faith, a member of Weirton Steel 25 Year Club and a former member of Knights of Columbus, Mingo Junction. Preceding Bob in death were his father John J. Kirkpatrick, Sr.; paternal grandparents Walter and Alice Kirkpatrick and maternal grandparents William and Edna Campbell. Surviving are his wife Shirley A. Beneventi Kirkpatrick; son Robert (Heather Appley) Kirkpatrick, II of Youngstown, OH; two step children James Harvey of New Manchester, WV and Jessica (Matthew) Miksit of New Jersey; brother John J. Kirkpatrick of Houston, TX; mother Edna Campbell of Wintersville, OH; one grandson Colin Appley; numerous nieces and nephews and faithful companion “Dixie”. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated Monday 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Vigil service Sunday 3:45 p.m. Entombment at Fort Steuben where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will provide military honors. Memorial contributions may be directed to Jefferson County Animal Welfare League.

I'M VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. SHIRLEY SPOKE ONLY GOOD THINGS ABOUT ROBERT. SHE ALWAYS TOLD ME HOW MUCH SHE LOVED HIM, AND HOW HE WOULD PUT HER FIRST. HE MUST HAVE BEEN A VERY SPECIAL PERSON AND MY CONDOLENCES GO TO YOUR FAMILY AND SHIRLEY.

Sorry to hear about the loss of Bob He was a very good man and well liked. We were dealing with Bob at Mittal and always had a smile on his face and a Joke to share with one of his print outs he got from the net. He will be sadly missed and from all of us at Fastenal you have our deepest sympathy
