Robert “Bob” George Aldridge, born September 11, 1939, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, in Steubenville, Ohio.
Bob was the beloved son of the late Edward and Florence (Melching) Aldridge. He was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Elizabeth Anne Aldridge, and his sister, Joanne (Rocky) Mancano.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jane Dunbar Aldridge; his loving children, Jim (Tracie) Aldridge, John (Kris) Aldridge, and Amy (Jeffrey) Aldridge-Ritchey; and his brother, Edward (Carol) Aldridge. Bob was also a proud grandfather to Edan, Tucker, Addie, and Eli Aldridge; Chance Aldridge (Teresa); Delaney Aldridge (Martin); Rowan Ritchey; Kate (Jarett) Thiel; and Erin Ritchey.
Bob spent his lifelong career as an electrician at Timet. Known for his generosity and resourcefulness, he often used his skills in home and auto maintenance to assist family and friends. His faith was central to his life & he deeply loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christäand he lived as a testament to that love through his kindness and service to others.
Bob will be remembered for the steadfast devotion he showed to his family and the joy he brought to those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio 43953 on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 12 p.m. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
