Bob was good people. We were friends in high school. I don't recall him ever saying anything bad about anyone. RIP Bob

Bob Blackburn graduated with my sister; I was two years behind. I knew who he was but we never really crossed paths at WHS. Fast forward many years later and my son loved having Mr.B as a teacher at Karaffa Middle School. Many teachers will tell you it takes a certain type of educator to connect with the middle school age students. Apparently, Bob had what it takes to reach them on their level. And he wasn't just a teacher they liked; they also learned from him. Another thing I want to mention is that Bob had the admiration of others for his work ethic. A teacher pointed out to me that even though Bob had health issues, he still showed up every day to teach. That, too, says a lot about the type of guy he was. My condolences to Mr. Blackburn's family and loved ones.

Mr.B was one of those teachers you never forget. He loved his students, listened, cared, and his classes were always interesting.. Even after all theses years since I had him for a teacher he knew who I was and took an interest in my life when we'd talk on line. He was a one of a kind guy, and that made him the teacher/coach, and great person he was. He talked a lot of his grandson , and his family. He was so proud of them and loved them dearly. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends. He was one other best and will be deeply missed . Rest in peace Mr.B!

Dear Marsha,So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. First of all I remember him as my math teacher and all the girls were crazy about him 😉 Then meeting him again later when he came to aquatic physical therapy with us was such a treat. We loved getting you and eventually Bob into the water. He really seem to enjoy it and we enjoyed both of you as well. Prayers for your family during this time.

Coach B don't even know where to start their are so many memories and talks we had that I will never forget. The best thing you ever said to me is when I came home from boot camp and I came to see you at school and you said to me I knew you were a good kid I had faith in you. I am very honored and privileged to be coached and taught by you. Rest Easy Coach. I will always talk about you and you will never be forgotten.
