Obituary For Robert A. "Coach Bob" Platt Jr.

Robert A. “ Coach Bob” Platt, Jr., 63, of Steubenville passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2020. Visitation will be held at Wintersville United Methodist Church on Friday January 24, 2020 from 10 am until time of services at 12 pm with Rev. Dr. Clint Quillen officiating. Private burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wintersville United Methodist Church Campaign for Hope, 702 Main Street, Wintersville, Ohio 43953.

Please forward any cards or condolences to Robert's sister, June Bowden at 308 Virginia Avenue, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.

    Coach Bob, you will be missed. I remember years ago when our friend Steve invited you to church. You were welcomed with open arms. Pastor Clint and you shared a special friendship as brothers in Christ. You will not be forgotten. Your church family will miss you. Mary

    To the family of Coach BobGod gave us a gift when we met him. He was such a wonderful coach to our son at the Christian School. And the way he stayed in touch with him thru his college years, such a blessing. Our family will forever remember him and miss him everyday.

    my thoughts and prayers are with Robert's family at this time, he was a good friend, and I loved "arguing" with him about his football team, I sure will miss his laugh and his smile...RIP Robert and fly high
