Rinaldo Joseph “Joe” Lucci, 89, of Steubenville died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Valley Hospice North. He was born in St. Catherine, Ontario, Canada on January 21, 1922 the son of the late Ricardo and Donata Spagnoli Lucci Joe was a former member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel as a crane operator. He also was a former union projectionist and manager of the former Hollywood Plaza Cinema. U.S. Army veteran of WWII, where he served in the Aleutian Islands. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dora M. Cavallaro Lucci, she died September 17, 2006 and his sister Cecelia Garcia. Joe is survived by sons Richard (Bunny) Lucci and Ronald Lucci; daughter Carol (Dana) Joyce; sister Yolanda D’Aurora, all of Steubenville; grandchildren Michael (Emily) Lucci of Wadsworth, OH, David Lucci of Pittsburgh, PA, Brian (Jenna) Joyce, Jeffrey Joyce, Amy Joyce and Angela Lucci, all of Steubenville; great grandchildren Sienna and Gavin Lucci and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday 5-8p.m., where services will be held on Saturday, 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Mark Moore officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will conduct graveside honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice. Send condolences to www.shorac.com
