Obituary For Richard L. Martin

Richard L. Martin, 81, of Steubenville, Ohio died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Trinity West.  He was born July 15, 1932 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late William E. and Mary Price Martin.  He was a member of Finley United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by four brothers Dwayne, William, Alfred and Charles Martin and niece April Lamp.  Surviving are his sister Shirley Hicks of Steubenville, OH; brother Robert “Bob” (Beverly) Martin of Rock Hill, SC and several nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at Shorac Funeral Home (formerly McClave Funeral Home), 611 N. Fourth St., Steubenville Tuesday 2 – 4 &   6 – 8 p.m. where a service will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Ernst officiating.  Burial at Union Cemetery.

    June Ruff Leasure

    I didn't know Richard very well personally, but I always enjoyed greeting him when I came back for visits at Finley. My parents, Flavil and Bette Ruff thought so highly of him and were so glad he was part of their churc family. He was so faithful to God's House. God bless his family. Chuck & June Leasure
