Obituary For Richard L. Ankrum

Richard L. Ankrum, 71, of Toronto peacefully passed away on December 12, 2025 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on April 14, 1954 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Franklin & Izetta Longfellow Ankrum.

Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before working at the Weirton Steel Corporation and as a Truck driver.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Anita Huff Ankrum; daughters Sabrina (Josh) Evans & Brittany (Doug) Van Horn and his grandchildren Samantha & Hunter Van Horn, who were his life and meant everything to him, and brother Dean (Erin) Ankrum. He is preceded in death by his brother Larry Wright.

Per Richard’s wishes, there will be no viewing or services.
