We truly lost a wonderful human being! Have know Dick for several years and could not have been more pleased to have him as a friend. I can speak for my entire family in thanking Dick for all the time he spent teaching my son Jake to kick for the Mighty Big Red. Dick dedicated many hours with our Son and never asked for anything in return. He always just said; " I enjoy working with young men and women and to see them become successful; that is my payment!" He was certainly a great asset to my Son's success in life. My Son expressed to me that he was one of the nicest people he had ever met. His interest in helping the youth of our area was second to none. We will all miss this wonderful man. I will certainly miss all the great stories he told me and I will certainly miss his never-ending smile! Rest in Peace my good friend! To his family; our deepest sympathy.

Dear Ruth, Richie and RobinMy condolences to your entire family, Dick was such a kind and loving person, I will never forget his friendship that he extended to me as a youth while growing up while playing sports and will never forget what he did for me after I broke my leg and I was rehabilitating throwing the football at the Choice Brands warehouse, he opened the place up for me to go down to work out with a couple of my receivers to start the long agonizing process of gaining my strength back to be able to get back on the playing field to play the position of QB for Steubenville Big Red in the fall so many years ago. I have so many memories of Dick that there are too many to mention, but my Greatest memory of him was his work he did for the Special Olympics in the Steubenville area, he loved being around the kids and adults and made them feel special and my friend every person whoever met you went away feeling special because you always made them feel special because you were a very special person to so many people in the Steubenville area over the years. RIP my friend I will hold all the memories close to my heart and I will never ever forget you, you were always a positive influence in so many of our lives.
