Hey Uncle John, I remember years ago at Grandma Schankweiler's funeral, you looked around the room and said we are all a bunch of vulchers because the only time we all get together as a family is when someone passes away. Well, I know you will look down and see all the vulchers who love and miss you very much. Heaven has gained a wonderful man.

Hey Grandpa! We all know that you are having a gr8 time up there in Heaven with yr brand new glorified body! I can see you dancing around up there like when Uncle Stephen threw fire crackers at your feet some 25 yrs ago. Give Grandma a big ole hug and let her know we miss her. Tell Jesus, well tell Him... thanks. Thanks for giving us such an awesome grandfather. (Yeah, I will tell him too!) We are extremely priveleged to have had a grandfather, a father, and a friend who just couldn't stop talking, playing the piano and singing about our friend Jesus and His incredible Good News! We love you grandpa and we already miss you. Through faith in our Lord and friend Jesus, we'll see you before we ever even know it! Love, +N8! (Gal 2:20)

I just found out the recent passing of Mr. Byard. Deepest of condolences and best of wishes to the entire Byard family with their loss. As I read through the condolences, it becomes obvious that Mr. Byard was a well known and loved man. A true asset to our Wintersville Community has been lost and heavens gain. And, note to the Byard Family. I grew up a 'Ridge Runner' and graduated High School with Steven and Uncle Stevens `firecracker tricks were just a scratch of the surface! Once again, deepest condolences. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Jason Mattern.

John has always had a special place in my heart. He baptized me as a kid and then as adults, I think he was as excited as we were to marry us, outside on Gods land. He always gave me a big ol'hug and a smile. God Bless You John Byard. love, Kathy & Jim
