Ever since I was a little boy, you loved to hear me say, "Daddy, pick me up." The little boy grew up, but I never outgrew my desire for my Daddy to pick me up. I always knew you loved me, Daddy and I took every opportunity to tell you, "I love you, Daddy." You taught me all about winter driving so I could drive safely when you weren't there to drive yourself. Daddy, you also taught me to have faith in God so when you weren't there, my faith would keep me safe in God's care. Goodbye, Daddy. I'll see you again someday.

Before my dad passed away, Rev. George called and made me promise that I would tell Flavil to keep his yes on "glory." How much comfort I took in the reality that my dad would be in glory--in the presence of Jesus. Now, Scott George is experiencing that same Heaven that he preached about with such conviction. Thanks to Jesus for one more saint that declared the gospel and prepared the way for us.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. He was such a gentle man as I remember him from the old days of the Scio Church and the Youth Group. He is now in a better place. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Dawnita

Uncle Scott was a man of deep convictions, wholeheartedly committed to spreading the Gospel and caring for the spiritual needs of God's people. His gifts for preaching have been an inspiration to me. Whenever we had a visit together he would say these words of parting: "Preach the Word and love the people, Honey. Don't forget." I do. I will. I won't forget.

One of the best. We have many fond memories of Scio U.M. Church with Rev. Scott and family. I will always laugh when I remember Clara Mae giving the Rev. and I heck for being the last two arriving at Gail and my wedding. Feel bad about missing services, granddaughter has dance program in Columbus and we promised. You will be in our prayers. Tom

Rev. George was my pastor at Finley United Methodist Church in the years that I was a little girl to young adulthood. I so much enjoyed hearing him preach and learned so many valuable lessons through his dedication to the presenting of the Word of God! He was an exuberant servant of the Lord! You will be missed, but it will only be a little while longer 'till we will meet in heaven rejoicing eternally! My thoughts and prayers are extened to Clara Mae, Walter, and Alice. Blessings, Darlene Van Dyke

I attended the South Bellaire Methodist Church in the early 60's and Rev. George was our Pastor. He was such a wonderful Pastor and had such a nice family. My best friends, who attended church there too, was Roxie Patterson, Evelyn and Bill McCloud and Betty Manuilow. The last time I got to see Rev. George was in the past six years, he spoke at my present church (Church of God in Moundsville, WV) Billy Roe was our pastor. Mrs. George and family, I wish you and your family strength and God's peace. We know that Rev. George is with our Lord and Master and we will all meet again one day. You'rs in my thoughts, my heart, and my prayers.

My heart is filled with both sadness in knowing you are no longer with us but great joy overflows in my soul for I know you are with the One you loved, served and modeled your life after. You were a tremendous encouragement to me and Leanna in our journey of ministry and because of your loving example we are beginning our thirty-fourth year fulfilling our Master's Divine Call. Your life was such an example of His Love and Compassion and although you may be gone from us, your presence is forever with us. Till we meet you again on Heaven's shore...Thank you family for sharing your husband and father with us, you are in our prayers. We cherish your friendship. Love - Billy and Leanna

We will never forget Pastor's patriotic sermons. The young men in the youth group would be chomping at the bit to get to the recruiter and sign up. Cut from the same timber as the founding fathers, he was an orator, a patriot, and a humble godly servant. To this day, we still listen to his sermons on tape, and it was an honor to have him perform our wedding ceremony. Family, thank you for sharing him with us. We pray it helps to know that you'll see him again some day. Love Brent and Kym.

Rev. George was my Pastor and my FRIEND. He taught me so much and was there for me when I lost my Father. He married George and I back in 63 and renewed our marriage vowels at 25 years. Over the years we've corresponded and his letters meant so much to me. I'll never forget him picking me up to do the bulletin at South Bellaire in a "LITTLE" car not big enough for a child to get in. We both fit and had such a wonderful time. I babysat both Alice and Walter and remember their love for their Father. Mrs. George you'll always be so special to me for your love and wise words over my teen years. May God be with each of you Friday as you say your earthly good byes but we know one day we will be with Rev. George and our LORD and we can really remember all the good days. God Bless
