Regina L. Nichols, 86, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Sienna Woods. She was born January 26, 1926 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of the late Leo & Katherine Bard. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene L. Nichols, Sr. whom she married on May 22, 1944 and he died on May 13, 2002; daughter-in-law Neva A. Nichols and one great grandson Micah Deller. Regina is survived by her children Gene (Linda) Nichols of Wintersville, Steve J. (Luci) Nichols of Weirton & Beverly L. (Harvey) Sanders of Steubenville; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three siblings Leo “Red” (Anna Mae) Bard, Tom (Loretta) Bard and Leona (Richard) Kramer all of Girard, Ohio. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Thursday 4-7 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 11:30 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church with Msgr. Kurt Kemo officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben. Vigil services Thursday 6:45 p.m.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Charity Hospice.
