Obituary For Raymond R. Lelli

Raymond R. Lelli, 78, of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Trinity West ER. He was born August 27, 1928 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Querino and Nickolena Mangiamele Lelli. Raymond was a wonderful man. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the former owner of Suburban Market. Preceding Raymond in death were his wife Mary Jean Malara; brother-in-law Msgr. Joseph Malara and son-in-law Stanley R. Logsdon. Surviving are his son Raymond J. (Michele) Lelli and daughter Susan Logsdon both of Wintersville, OH; four grandchildren Rene Moziejko, Andrea Lelli, Brandy Logsdon and Nicole Boyd; two great grandchildren Alex Ray and Talan Patterson; two brothers Geno (Beverly) Lelli of Wintersville, OH and Querino “Tony” (June) Lelli Jr. of Alturas, CA and companion Doris Bird. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated Saturday 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Vigil service Friday 3:45 p.m. Burial at Mt. Calvary.

    My dad tells some great stories about he and his brothers. I know Uncle Ray was a generous and kind man who will be missed dearly by his friends and family.

    Just read this on line, we don't get the Herald Star...you have my deepest sympathies, always loved your Mom and Dad...my Mom always said he had the BEST delmonico steaks in existance! haha I feel bad our lives take us in different directions, though I occationally see Donna (Cucarese) West...didn't know anything about Sue's husbands passing..again, so very sorry!     I have wonderful memories of Uncle Ray and we still tell the story of my daughter asking me if I could make "chicken on a bone" like Uncle Ray. (It was her first drumstick and she was so impressed with how good it tasted.) He's in our prayers.
