Raymond “Hap” Sizemore, 97, of Wintersville, Ohio formerly of Centralia, West Virginia went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2018. He was born March 27, 1921 (Easter Morning) in Hacker Valley, West Virginia. The son of the late Alexander Washington and Ruelina (Hall) Sizemore. He was preceded in death by a son David Michael Sizemore; a daughter Judith Ann Soplinski; three brothers Sam, Buster and Ralph Sizemore; five sisters Nell Hammond, Velma Ault, Martha Woolever, Mable Skidmore and Ruby Moffat.
He was a member of the United Mine Workers and worked as a driller traveling all over the US and South America. He is survived by his children Joel R. and Steven Sizemore and Jane H. Parrish; a sister Hazel Booth; nieces Doris (Norris) Hayhurst, Pam (Terry) Nutter, Pat Donley, Kim (Randy) Clapham. Per Raymond’s request there will be no services. Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio is handling arrangements.
