Raymond David Panetta 94 of Mingo Junction, OH died Thursday, October 9, 2003 at Trinity Medical center West. He was born in Mingo Junction, OH on January 20, 2003 a son of the late Joseph and Teresa Panetta. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine Riggilo Panetta, three brothers Mike, Ralph and Americo Panetta, and three sisters Millie Calvarese, Italia Lamantia and Helen Paris. Ray retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company as a Millwright. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant with the 336th fighter squadron 4th fighter group. He is survived by a son David J. (Dorothy) Panetta, Sr. and a brother Berry (Mary) Panetta, both of Mingo Junction, OH, nine grandchildren, Amy Riley, David Smith, Tabitha Panetta, David J. Panetta, Jr., Kelly Bethel, Denise Lyons, Jodi Murdock, Lotie Panetta and Christina Panetta, and 9 great grandchildren. Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction today from 2-4 and 7-9p.m., where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10a.m. with Father James Dunfee officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville. Ohio Valley Memorial Squad will conduct services at cemetery.
