Stanley Michnowicz
Hi Linda, It's Stan Michnowicz. In case you don't remember me, I'll try to clarify my identity in a minute. But first and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt condolences to you and your family regarding Randy's passing. I was deeply saddened to hear that news. Randy & I attended CCHS together. He was class of 66 and I was class of 67. We both were La Belle boys as well. The coincidence of attending the same high school and residing in the same neighborhood gave us a lifelong connection. Randy and I were not buddy-buddy. Nor were we close friends doing or after high school. I'd describe our relationship as casual acquaintances throughout high school and after up until the time that I left Steubenville in 1978. I did not see Randy all that often after high school but when our paths crossed, I thoroughly enjoyed our brief encounters. I always walked away from those encounters with a good feeling and a smile on my face. I always admired Randy's carefree, laid back, happy go luck disposition and his positive outlook on life. Yes, in my mind, Randy was truly one of the good guys and therefore Randy's goodness will live on with you and your family. May the light of God surround Randy's soul. May the love of God enfold Randy's soul. May the power of God protect Randy's soul. And may the abiding presence of God sustain and comfort you and your family. Peace be with you. Now to clarify my identity. My wife Sandy (Frachione) and I resided at 322 Woodlawn Rd. from 1972 until 1978. It was the large two-story house adjacent to "Pizza Pie Park." Our house was almost directly across the street from Randy's parents' house. Randy & you bought our 1974 white corvette. I hope this helps to clarify my identity.
