Obituary For Ralph F. Marracino

Ralph F. Marracino, 65, of Steubenville, Ohio died Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at his residence. He was born in Steubenville on November 17, 1939, a son of the late Anthony M. and Olga Liberatore Marracino. He attended Holy Name School and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1957. He served aboard the USS Prichett in the South China Sea during the Vietnam War, having reached the rank of Radarman Petty Officer Third Class. Ralph was a parishioner of St. Peter’s Catholic Church where he was a member of the adult choir for more than thirty years. In 1995, Ralph retired from Weirton Steel Co. after thirty-two years of service. He also worked at M&M Hardware; as a realtor for DeLuca Realty and an insurance agent for Marracino Insurance. Preceding Ralph in death was an infant daughter Judith Ann. Ralph is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Sally Owesney Marracino; three children Jeff (Roberta) Marracino of Bloomingdale, Lori Marracino of Alexandria, VA; and Joy (Mark) Delatore of Steubenville; three granddaughters Alyssa and Cara Delatore and Londy Marracino; and one brother Joseph A. (Jane) Marracino of Steubenville. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter’s Church with Msgr. George Yontz and Msgr. J. Michael Campbell co-celebrating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Vigil service 3:45 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may directed to Valley Hospice, Inc.; American Cancer Society or St. Peter’s (All Saints) School.
